Our History
Sutton Women's Centre was established following a campaign by local women who recognised the need for a dedicated space to support women within the community.
In 1983, funding was secured to create a women's centre, and after finding a suitable premises, Sutton Women's Centre officially opened its doors at Palmerston Road in May 1985.
Since then, thousands of women have accessed our services as clients, volunteers, staff members and trustees. Their experiences, contributions and commitment have helped shape the organisation we are today.
